I have been taking advantage of the many free (or nearly free) scrap classes that have been offered recently.
Got Glue? is a class all about art journals and Smash books and how to personalize them. I have a Smash book and I just basically use it to house things I want to keep but don’t necessarily want to put on a scrapbook page (like advertisements I like, etc.) There are some interesting ideas being presented and I may just have to try some out.
Your Story Matters delivers a journaling prompt everyday so that you can tell your story and write about what’s important to you (rather than just about your kids all the time). The idea is to scrap a page for each prompt but I think I will combine all prompt on to one scrap page.
I signed up for this sampler stitching class because the example made by the instructor Amy Powers was just so cute!! I’ve actually learned a lot in this class and am trying to figure out how to incorporate the embroidering ideas into my scrapbooking. I was thinking of stitching my sampler on to paper but I don’t know if it will work. We’ll see!
Camp Scrap is just a fun place for ideas and challenges! I took the paid version of this class in 2010 and was happy to see it being offered for free this year. I’m looking forward to working on some of the challenges, especially the one to use confetti on a layout!
I am completely Photoshop challenged so I thought I’d work my way through this class. I’ve taken many classes from Jessica Sprague before and I know she has a way of explaining things so even the clueless (me) can figure them out. Of course, I like paper too much to ever go 100% digi, but it doesn’t hurt to know a few tricks in Photoshop.
This Take Twelve challenge from Ella Publishing isn’t a class but it’s something I’ve been working on this year. The idea is to take 12 photos on the 12th day of every month for the year 2012. I have been trying to keep up with the photos every month, but I haven’t made any layouts with them yet.
So that’s what I’ve been up to so far this summer! What’s going on with you?
