Teacher Appreciation

Teacher Appreciation

Every year in May, schools celebrate Teacher Appreciation day or week to thank your child’s teacher for all the hard work they do throughout the year. I really like Mason’s Kindergarten teacher and wanted to give her something I made but I didn’t have time to come up with  anything elaborate. I ended up making her a very simple “You Rock” card and inside was a gift card to itunes.

Last year, Mason’s preschool teachers got this little mini sewing kit with a tag I made that said “thank you SEW much”:

And in 2010, his teachers got some gardening supplies and I made this card that says “Thanks for helping me to bloom and grow”. The flowers came out and there was a little packet of seeds on the inside.

That year those teachers got an extra gift when I gave them hand sanitizers, lotions, and gloves from Bath and Body Works and downloaded a tag (source unknown) that said, “You are Scent-sational.”

Can you tell I like really bad puns?

  1. Hi Andrea,
I love these two of your teacher appreciation gifts:
    1. You Rock Card
    2. Thank you for helping me bloom and grow.
Exactly what I have been thinking to do. Was just searching for some unique ideas, when I came across your website.
I would really like to make something similar.
Would it be possible for you to give me the details and procedure for creating these two exactly like you did.
I will be very thankful :-) and happy :) )
